Blurb
Five years ago, hunky rodeo star Stetson Scott left town, never looking back. Storm McCrory’s heart was ripped out that same day. Now Stetson is back in town. He’s shocked to find both Storm and his son living in poverty, shunned by most of the town.

Thoughts
Kathleen Ball writes cowboys very well. This is the first book I’ve read from The Lasso Springs Series and I got along fine. It can definitely be read as a stand-a-lone.

I can’t even begin to imagine the pain and betrayal Storm must’ve felt. Everyone abandoned her in her time of need, her father, the man she loves and the whole town. The only job she’s able to find is the midnight shift at the local diner and even there she is constantly barraged with insults. She just holds her head up, does her job and gets back to her son.

Stetson left five years ago when his father gave him an ultimatum. He only came back when his sister called for help. He left his heart when he left before, and he doesn’t really care to get it back. He doesn’t have the time for a relationship, but when Stetson finds out everything that has been hidden from him for the past five years, well he was devastated.

Storm and Stetson are an amazing couple who work through their issues. Kathleen Ball established the characters well enough that you understood what they were feeling and thinking. You could totally understand why Storm couldn’t trust and why it was so important for Stetson to have that trust. She had you there wondering if they would ever get it together. She spun a beautiful love story with some serious mystery as well. I will definitely be reading more from Ms. Ball.
